Town transfers ownership to God? It seems a bit presumptuous. What makes them think that God wants to own their little town? I can just hear God thinking "Oh great! Now I'm stuck with the upkeep of the place. And OH-MY-SELF, what about taxes? I can't believe that they unloaded their tax burden onto me! Granted property values have got to be low in a berg like that, but still, I have to pay for the whole town. How many forms will I have to file? How will I pay? Will the state accept schekles? The exchange rate is not good right now. Oh man..."

The bathroom door is suddenly flung open and a five year old girl burst out and skips across the room humming merrily. Her mother, without looking up, sternly asks “Did you wash your hands?” The girl stops dead in her tracks, looks down at her feet, and barely audible says “No.” “Go back and wash your hands” The girl shuffles slowly back, all the joy sucked out of her . After a long period that is suspiciously too quiet, the mother looks over at the bathroom and then in utter exasperation “Why are you brushing your teeth? I asked you to wash your hands.” More moments of silence pass and then “WASH YOUR HANDS!” Some more moments of silence and then, “Don’t scrub your hands with your sister’s toothbrush!” I witnessed this today. Jackie  Doe   I do not understand quantum physics, but I don’t doubt that it exists. I do not understand all of God’s whys and wherefores, but I don’t doubt they exist. Tom Gibson   Jackie Blundell I also don’t understand quantum mechanics. There are many things in science that I don’t understand. But the way science goes about figuring things out seems more reliable than the way that religion does. In science a hypothesis is pres ented and people think up ways to test it. What would we expect to see if the hypothesis is correct? What observations would prove it incorrect? Then it is tested and retested. Then other people scrutinized the tests looking for flaws. Then others conduct their own tests.
